Multiplication Games
Multiplication Dice Toss
You will need: 2 dice and counters (use smarties, cheerios, raisins)
Player number one rolls the dice. Players multiply the two dice. The first player to
say the correct answer out loud collects one counter and then rolls the dice for
the next round. In the event of a tie, both players may pick up a counter and the
youngest player then rolls the dice for the next round. After a set amount of time,
players count up their counters. The player with the most counters is the winner.
Multiplication War
You will need a deck of cards: Use the aces (aces equal one), twos, threes, fours,
fives and tens. You can add the 6,7, 8 and 9 cards to make the game more
challenging.
Players divide cards evenly between themselves. Players turn over two cards each
and then multiply them. The player with the highest product (answer) collects all
four cards. In the event of a tie (the same answer) each player turns over two
more cards and multiplies them. The player with the highest number collects all
of the cards. Play continues until one player has collected all of the cards.
