Cafe Reading and Library

Café Reading and Library Hi boys and girls! I hope you are keeping yourselves busy playing and learning. It’s Mrs. Barton (your child’s Teacher Librarian). Every week I usually get the opportunity to read a story, practice a reading strategy, and/or complete a library activity with all of the classes at our school. Since I am unable to do this right now, I will be providing your classroom teacher with a weekly Café Reading or Library skills lesson. Most lessons will have a story link attached or an assigned reading from the reading website – EPIC as well as some activities to go along with the story. Feel free to do whatever you feel comfortable with. Maybe just look at the link together. Maybe discuss the story with your child after or choose to complete an activity listed. This is not meant to put added pressure on any parent, it is just my way to let my students know I am here for them and miss our weekly work sessions.
